| ABC private behavior
consultations include a visit to your home. During
this visit, a behavioral history will be conducted which involves
asking you many questions about your pet's behavior. At that
time a diagnosis will be made and treatment will be discussed.
Following the consultation, a behavior modification plan (treatment
plan) will be sent to you. To support each client through
the process of behavior modification, all consultations also include
three months of follow up time by phone and/or e-mail.
What is Behavior
Modification?
Behavior modification involves
applying the principles of learning to change a behavior. The basic
idea is to change a behavior from one that is undesired to one that
is desired or more acceptable. Behavior modification not only involves
your pet, but also consists of teaching you (and your family) how
to interact with your pet to correct problems and help prevent future
problems. A behavior modification program (i.e. treatment plan)
will be designed specifically for your pet. All ABC behavior modification
programs are based on humane practices.
